Recruitment and selection of Officer Cadets takes place throughout the year and is typically divided between a main September college intake and a secondary January college intake.

The recruitment and selection of Officer Trainees is administered by Just Be Maritime on behalf of and in conjunction with our clients, while you will always have the final decision regarding sponsorship offers.

Our main aim is to ensure that high-quality candidates are successfully recruited for each client. To achieve this, we can apply a range of techniques in line with your particular preferences, such as:

• applications and application screening
• selection techniques, usually involving a pre-interview by JBM before candidates are invited to a formal interview with you
• initial offer letters to successful candidates, subject to them meeting education and medical requirements
• pre-acceptance checks (e.g. educational attainment, ENG1 medical certificate held)
• personalised training agreements for each cadet
