For those newly qualified Officers who are not directly employed by their sponsoring organisation, Just Be Maritime is committed to assisting them to transition to the employment market upon successful completion of their cadetships.

Officer Cadets are provided with appropriate careers assistance during all stages of their training, to aid them in their move to employment within the maritime industry.

Officer Cadets are encouraged from the start to build professional networks and working relationships with senior officers and management in the shipping companies they are training with during their cadetship, as well as creating a personal LinkedIn profile to build a wider network of contacts in the maritime industry.

During the final college phase, we will provide a range of additional support, such as reviewing their career ambitions, providing employment references, offering advice on CVs, and providing a list of shipping companies which recruit directly or through agencies.
