The Marine Guild

SCROLL DOWN

The Liverpool Marine Engineers’ & Naval Architects Guild (‘The Marine Guild’) operates an Engineering Officer Cadet training programme as a joint venture in partnership with Trinity House.

The Marine Guild is a registered charity that exists to support people in the Liverpool and Manchester regions.  Founded in the 1890s, the charity raises funds to provide financial assistance to men and women who have worked in the marine and marine-related professions, including grants to support young people at the start of their maritime training to obtain professionally recognised qualifications in a range of marine-related disciplines.

Their three year Officer Cadetship will allow successful candidates following a Marine Engineer training pathway to qualify as Engineering Officers of the Watch.

We are currently taking applications for The Marine Guild’s cadet intakes in either January or September.

Applicants must be EEA nationals and resident in the UK for a year prior to starting training.

Once you are ready to apply for a cadetship, please email your application letter and Curriculum Vitae (CV) to us at [email protected], stating that you are interested in The Marine Guild’s engineering cadetship.

Over a three-year training period, Officer Cadets will follow academic programmes at a designated college for their shore-based training elements, while undertaking the required sea service and professional training aboard various types of vessel.
