Saga Cruises

SCROLL DOWN

As a division of Saga plc, Saga Cruises has been operating cruise vessels since 1997 and offers worldwide cruise itineraries. The company has modernised its fleet in recent years, introducing the purpose-built, 58,119 gross ton ‘Spirit of Discovery’ in 2019 and her sister-ship ‘Spirit of Adventure’ in 2021.

In addition, Saga Cruises operates two boutique river boats, ‘Spirit of the Rhine’ and ‘Spirit of the Danube’, on main European waterways such as the Danube, Douro and Elbe.  Four more new-build river boats are due to enter service from 2023 to 2026.

We are currently taking applications for Saga Cruises’ cadet intakes in January and September.

Applicants must be EEA nationals and resident in the UK for a year prior to starting training.

Once you are ready to apply for a cadetship, please email your application letter and Curriculum Vitae (CV) to us at [email protected], stating that you are interested in a Saga Cruises cadetship and confirming your preferred training discipline (i.e. Deck Cadetship, Engineer Cadetship, or METO Cadetship).

Over a three-year training period, Officer Cadets will follow academic programmes at a designated college for their shore-based training elements, while undertaking the required sea service and professional training aboard company vessels.
