Just Be Maritime is delighted to welcome Suzanne Galloway to our expanding team in the new role of Client Manager.
After gaining her BA(Hons) Degree in Tourism Studies and Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Diploma in 1990, Suzanne embarked upon a career in sales and marketing, and held senior marketing positions with a diverse range of companies, such as Eurosport Television Ltd, Alex Thomson Racing and Sky Business.
In 2012, Suzanne joined Warsash Maritime Academy, part of Solent University, as a key member of the marketing team supporting a period of rapid expansion at the Academy, including the launch of the Warsash Superyacht Academy. Suzanne’s practical experience in ocean sailing and the wider sailing world was particularly beneficial at that time.
In 2020 Suzanne transitioned to a new role in support of the Officer Cadets under training at Warsash, acting as the main conduit between commercial clients, their cadets and university staff. This position encompassed the full range of cadet-related activities, from oversight of initial recruitment and induction at Warsash to providing ongoing support for each cadet for the duration of their cadetships.
As our Client Manager, Suzanne will be actively involved in all elements of JBM’s operational activities from initial recruitment and selection of Officer Cadets to their eventual qualification as a Junior Officer, engaging closely with both the cadets and their sponsoring companies. Her committed, enthusiastic and personalised approach will be vital in successfully working closely with, and supporting our commercial clients and cadets.
Suzanne said “I’m really looking forward to building on my previous experience in cadet management and progressing this new role in providing effective support to our maritime clients and the Officer Cadets. The most rewarding part of my job has always been to see the cadets successfully progress from their initial entry through to first professional certification and beyond.”
