Just Be Maritime is pleased to announce that it has now partnered with Onboard Maritime Ltd (OM) to provide digital learning support for our Officer Cadets via an online learning portal, while they are training aboard ships.
Extensive work has been undertaken to tailor this learning platform for assisting our Officer Cadets in the completion of their onboard Training Record Book tasks and also support their preparation for SQA and MCA oral examinations in the later stages of their sea training.
Online portal communication will be available between the Officer Cadet, members of the OM team and Just Be Maritime. We will also liaise with OM regarding the monitoring of individual cadet training progress.
The Onboard Maritime delivery team has technical seagoing experience as well as extensive maritime education experience. This results in training programmes and content being developed with a focus on the learner and the learning.
The team have a thorough understanding of the Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) and national frameworks, which enables them to develop unique training programmes and courses for its clients.
This includes the instructional design and content development for STCW short courses, as well as programmes which deliver STCW underpinning knowledge, skills and competencies.
