SCROLL DOWN
Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has an extensive and unique maritime heritage, originating in 1848 in Hvitsten, a small town on the shores of Oslofjord, Norway, where three Olsen brothers – Fredrik Christian, Petter and Andreas – bought their first ships and began an international shipping company.
175 years later, and now into the fifth generation of the family, Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines operate cruises from the UK and offers inspirational voyages aboard three smaller, intimately-sized ocean-going ships, which sail to some of the world’s greatest and most authentic destinations, providing guests with simply unforgettable holiday experiences.
Their Journey Planners put incredible consideration into creating innovative and exciting itineraries each year, ensuring their guests are always in the very best places at the very best times.Â

Applicants must be EEA nationals and resident in the UK for a year prior to starting training.
Once you are ready to apply for a cadetship, please email your application letter and Curriculum Vitae (CV) to us at [email protected], stating that you are interested in a Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines cadetship and confirming your preferred training discipline (i.e. Deck Cadetship, Engineer Cadetship or ETO Cadetship).
Over a three-year training period, Officer Cadets will follow academic programmes and shore-based training elements at a nautical college, while undertaking the required sea service and professional training aboard a range of different vessel types.
